My wife was involved in a car accident in late 2009 and seriously injured her arm - multiple breaks of the radius and ulna, requiring several surgeries. She got excellent care from Dr. Michael Brunelli, 761 Worcester Road, Framingham, MA 01701-5224, (508) 872-7881.

My mother is also receiving wonderful care form Dr. Brunelli. He found some damage that was completely missed by FUH.

Lou Meeks (see contact information above) at BI did both DH's ("dear husband" or another more derogatory expansion depending on my mood) knees years ago and he was fantastic. He is an excellent surgeon specializing in sports medicine and knees, has a great bedside manner, at the time his NP (nurse practitioner in medical shorthand) and office people were extremely efficient and friendly and he has a sterling reputation among the other physicians (something I always consider when choosing a doc). DH's recovery was much quicker than expected and he is pleased with the results. Lou is a character - and I mean that in the best way! - and when the time comes for me to get my 100,000 mile overhaul, he will be the only person I will consult.

I'd recommend Brigham Orthopedics, at 850 Boyleston Street in Chestnut Hill. 617-732-5322. They fixed my knee back in September. My particular Doctor was Andreas Gomoll. I'm not sure if he does hips, but I'm sure that one of his colleagues could help you. They all seem to be on staff at Harvard Medical School.

This past year when I fell and broke off a part of my heal and hurt my ankle I saw Dr. Young at Framingham Orthopedics. Dr. Young and the staff at Framingham Orthopedics are great. I have nothing but good things to say about my treatment.

Dr Herman has given me cortisone shots for my knee a couple of times. X-Rays, inspection, and shots all given during the same appointment. Always has worked wonders on my knee (I play volleyball on it).

I was very impressed with Pro Sports Orthopedics. They have offices in Waltham, Brookline, and Mt. Auburn Hospital. Dr. Josef Simon did my spine surgery. I called around about him. He is very well regarded by other surgeons. He is also super nice. Everyone I met in the practice takes their time and gives lots of attention. It's also generally easy to get an appointment.
Good luck!!!
