VOTE Tuesday, April 3, 7AM - 8PM

The contested town-wide races are Library Board, Planning Board, and one-year seat for School Committee.

Some precincts have contested races for Town Meeting; some have room for write-ins to be elected; some have all 12 seats up for election because of new district lines. Please learn about your precinct candidates, so you can make good selections (<http://www.framinghamma.gov/DocumentView.aspx?DID=4815>).

For your consideration, here are my recommendations in the three contested races on the Town-Wide Election ballot:

* One-year seat on Framingham School Committee

* Two seats on the Framingham Planning Board

* Four seats on the Framingham Library Board of Trustees

Don Taggart for Framingham School Committee

The 2 incumbents – Beverly Hugo and Andy Limeri – have been doing a great job. Please vote for them to be re-elected to the 3-year seats.

For the one-year seat, I recommend Don Taggart. The Metrowest Daily News/Framingham TAB editorial board did a thoughtful review of this contest which covers my reasoning in this selection: http://www.metrowestdailynews.com/opinion/x140149555/Endorsement-For-Framingham-s-schools

Tom Mahoney and Stephanie Mercandetti for Planning Board

The Metrowest Daily News/Framingham TAB editorial board gave incumbent Planning Board member Tom Mahoney and write-in candidate Stephanie Mercandetti one of their strongest ever endorsements. I agree with their assessments. http://www.metrowestdailynews.com/oopinions/x777658859/Endorsement-For-Framingham-Planning-Board

Please write in: Stephanie Mercandetti, 728 Waverly Street And be sure to fill in the oval after her name to cast your vote! Stickers with Stephanie's name and address that you can place right onto the ballot will available outside the polling locations the day of the election, just look for the Stephanie Mercandetti Stickers banner! Or you can simply write in her name.

Maria Barry, Janet Harrington, Nancy Coville Wallace, and George Brown for Library Board

The 3 incumbents - Maria Barry, Janet Harrington, Nancy Coville Wallace - have been doing an excellent job. Please vote for them to be re-elected. Also, please note that George Brown is a librarian from Shrewsbury and former TMM, so would be a qualified choice for your 4th vote.

Please join me in voting for these candidates on TUESDAY, April 3.
