J&M Diner is a wonderful little gem located in a small plaza off Concord Street, near Stop & Shop. This diner is always busy on the weekends, a testament to their great food. The staff is friendly and effective, wearing pajama bottoms on the weekends, and the food is great. They have some really outstanding breakfast dishes including a french toast dish covered in fresh fruit and topped with whipped creme (expect to take some of this home) -- One of the nice things about this diner is that their menu includes more than just the standard fare, they definitely try to be creative with some dishes. However, the old standards of pancakes, eggs, omelets, and home fries are all quite good (especially the home fries.. they're GREAT) -- I recommend you try J&M, I doubt you would be disappointed (Come early for a seat without waiting, i.e. before 9am)

A great place for breakfast is J&M diner at 969 Concord Street. Depending on the hour there could be a wait.

I highly recommend J & M Diner. It is a family run business with some of the same employees working with them for over 10 years. The portions are generous. It is so worth a visit, at the very least. It is located in the Conn. Path Shopping Plaza, off of 126, next to Stop & Shop. I have to warn you that the wait line can be on the longer side, depending on luck. We have put our name on the list and picked up a few things at Stop & Shop, to pass some time...or socialized with other patrons. Please let me know what you think.
Have a wonderful day.

We also like the J&M breakfasts - but as others have mentioned, the waiting lines can be long..if you are in a hurry or want to hang out for a long time, maybe not the best place to go, but good food, nice family owned and operated business!!

We love J&M Diner. They have the best sausage around, and all varieties of their french toast are amazing. Just thinking about their take on steak (outstanding steak tips) and eggs makes me want to grab a second dinner right now...
One thing to keep in mind at J&M Diner though, they accept cash, no credit cards. More than once I have had to run over to the ATM machine at Stop & Shop and run back to pay when both my wife and I assumed that the other one had cash in hand.

A coworker and i went to J&M Diner to get a takeout order for lunch today. I had a roast beef club that was very good. It came with potato salad that was outstanding.
My coworker ordered a burger that she was was outstanding. However, as she reached to eat a pickle chip, the found a HUGE BLACK HAIR in the pickles. When she looked at her burger (which had mushrooms on it), she found ANOTHER large black hair in the mushrooms on the burger.
She called J&M Diner and they were basically unresponsive. They told her that their cooking staff wore hair nets. My coworker told them she was bring it back and they told her the kitchen was closed and they wouldn't make her anythng to replace the hairy burger.
Are restaurants so busy that they throw customer service under the bus? Shouldn't there have been some concern on their part that someone found hair in the food? They didn't even offer an apology.
Their menu looks great but I'm not sure we will be returning to the scene of the crime anytime soon for another meal.
